"Memory Retention"Abstract of a paper by Kevin BaileyMy science project is about memory retention (male versus female) using Subjects from various grades. I tested the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. The students reviewed a board for 20 seconds. Then I gave them 1 minute and 30 seconds to write what they saw. I then read them a list of items and gave them another 1 minute and 30 seconds to write what they heard. After I did my testing I calculated all of the testing. During my testing I noticed that all of the students were quiet as I read them the list of things. From my testing I learned that females remember what they hear better than males. I also noticed that males remember what they see better than females. This may correspond to their learning capabilities.
