Open Events
San Diego Mensa has many events and Special Interest Groups ("SIGs") which
are open to the public. This is a great, no-obligation, way for potential
members to see what we're like before deciding to join up.
Sometimes (but not always) you'll see our traditional
yellow-and-black "M" sign to mark where we are. If you
don't see it, just ask for "the Mensa group".
The numbers following the "TB" designation are the
Thomas Brothers map coordinates—an absolute necessity when getting around in
San Diego County.

Happy hour in Shooters, at the La Jolla Radisson Hotel, 3299 Holiday
Court, La Jolla, TB 1228-A3. Directions: I-5 to La Jolla Village
Drive, west to first light (Villa La Jolla), left on VLJ, first left is
Villa Norte/Holiday Court. Drive to end to hotel. We'll be
in the bar, just off the main lobby, or on the patio.

The Spice House is a restaurant in the "Denny's" style, on the southeast
corner of Complex Drive and Clairemont Mesa Blvd., one block east of
Hwy. 163.
- VIP Friday Lunch
At the VIP Oriental Buffet, 5801 University Ave., San Diego, two blocks west of
College, TB 1270-C5. "Chinese Gourmet" including twenty hot
entrees and soups, salads, desserts.
