American Mensa ("AML") Password
What? American Mensa membership number: Pull out your most recent Mensa Bulletin from American Mensa and look at the mailing label. It's the number right above your name. American Mensa ("AML") password: See https://secure.us.mensa.org/members/resetmypassword.php. Enter your membership number and your email address (as you suspect is on record with American Mensa. You will receive an email with further instructions on how to change your AML password. Use your new AML password to get your copy of the MENSAN. If that doesn't work (i.e., AML has the wrong email address for you, or none at all), then see https://secure.us.mensa.org/members/mymembership.php, and we quote:
Web Services, at the American Mensa Office, will send you back an auto-respond e-mail explaining what to do. If you're in a rush, then call the phone number included in that auto-respond e-mail. If you're not in a rush, then wait for two or three days; your American Mensa membership number and password should magically appear in your snail-mail mailbox. If worse comes to worst, then send a snail-mail inquiry about your password to:
Include your American Mensa membership number. Speed the response from the American Mensa Office by also including a self-addressed stamped envelope (use the address to which your Mensa Bulletin is sent). Rumors persist that a call to the American Mensa Office, at 1-817-607-0060, will also work. At 7¢ per minute, a 5-minute phone call is still cheaper than a stamp. Have your most recent Mensa Bulletin from American Mensa (and, in particular, its mailing label) ready to go. Yes, this is all a bit of a hassle. Imagine, though, what would happen if anyone—without authentication—could approach the American Mensa Office and get them to do things on your behalf. What opportunities for mischief! |
